This happened when I went to Sweden in June of this year to meet VIktor Fredback.
Although summer in Scandinavia is pleasant and it's a good season to wear a Good Luck JK jacket over a T-shirt, the travel time from Kojima was about 20 hours in total.
During the trip, I lost my passport in my bag three times.
Losing your hotel card key once
I once had a sudden back pain.
I almost leaked once because of the lack of toilets available anywhere in Japan...
Well, once the memories of that trip are over, it will be a priceless experience, just like the catchphrase in the MasterCard commercial I saw as a child...
I want to always turn these experiences into something positive, so I started thinking about making a vest for the first time in a long time that can be easily worn and can store things like keys, Airpods, and a passport.
In the past I made a work vest by cutting off the sleeves of an OSHKOSH engineer jacket, but this time I created a vest based on a 30's hunting vest.
However, I wanted the fabric to be workwear, so I used denim and duck.
In the past, TCB has tended to make brown ducks, but this time they've changed things up a bit and made a special order chocolate duck.
I think it can be worn elegantly if worn over a shirt, but I also plan to wear it over a T-shirt or hoodie, or tuck it inside a denim jacket coverall to prevent my belongings from getting lost.
The vest sampled this time was a HETTRICK vest from the 1930s-40s.
There are eight pockets, including the half-moon pocket on the front, so it has more storage capacity than it looks. The half-moon pocket in particular is a pocket that covers the entire body, so you can put something in the left pocket and take it out from the right pocket.
□Fabric
Denim
9oz, warp thread #10, weft thread #12
The weave is 2by1, so it is a lighter denim like that used for coveralls. The warp threads are very uneven, so the texture changes in a way that you would never imagine when it was new.
The above is reprinted from the TCB website.
A very useful vest with many pockets.
This is a large vest with plenty of width, so if you want to wear it tight, you can go down one size. It would also be good to wear it over a denim jacket with few pockets and use it as a pocket replacement.
