Lot 802 has a slightly narrower hem width and a tapered, modern silhouette that looks clean.

Denim made from American upland cotton for both warp and weft.
We simply started making it thinking, "When it comes to basic jeans, it must be denim woven with yarn made only from American cotton!" But then we couldn't find a standard 100% American cotton yarn! So, we decided to make the yarn ourselves! (Even though it results in an enormous quantity)

Upland cotton is an extremely basic cotton. We import this into Japan, scan the slub yarn shape found in vintage jeans, and determine the yarn shape. We control the slub so that it's not too strong.

The completed yarn is rope-dyed. Pure indigo dyeing without pre-dyeing or post-dyeing. This time, the color is characterized by a relatively low reddish hue and a strong bluish hue.

Furthermore, the fabric is woven on a power loom with selvage. By weaving at low tension, it achieves a soft texture, preserving the inherent character of the yarn and even the cotton itself. The finished fabric is raw denim (kibata denim) that is not pre-shrunk or singed to remove fluff. It shrinks and twists when washed. However, before shipping, it is one-washed and tumble-dried to shrink it as much as possible.

There are two patterns: the straight Lot 801 and the slim tapered Lot 802. Since the hem width is the same for about 10 cm from the hem, hemming up to about 30 inches in length will not change the hem width. All sewing is done with cotton thread. For the side seams, the so-called "komata" where the left and right body pieces are joined, the yoke, and the waistband, thick thread is used. This specification is to provide strength with cotton thread, and as a result, it creates the uneven fading characteristic of selvage and strong puckering on the yoke. This time, our focus when creating the fabric from scratch and making jeans was "to be basic." To create a classic feel, there are methods that involve blending non-American cottons such as Peruvian or Indian cotton. Even for indigo dyeing, there are methods to create a different taste from pure indigo through pre-dyeing, but we opted not to do that and stuck to American cotton and pure indigo. As a result, the finished color has a strong blue tone, exactly as I envisioned. The process from sourcing raw cotton to spinning the yarn, and then rope dyeing, weaving, and sewing, is introduced below.

With a clean tapered silhouette, strong blue tint, and elegant slub, these jeans are easy to pair with smart styles such as Ivy style with a jacket.

They have ample room around the hips and a very narrow hem, making them recommended for customers who have voluminous hips or thighs due to sports and find that matching their hip size results in a loose waist, or who struggle to wear slim-fit clothing.

※Please note that these are quite slim from the knees down, so individuals with thick calves should be aware.

Many of you may love this 802 silhouette, but unfortunately, it will be discontinued with this run.

It's not due to lack of popularity; fabric production now has a 3-year waiting list, and it's all they can do to produce the 801.

As this is the last delivery, we have prepared as many as possible, but once they are sold out, there will be no more. (Though it might be possible if fabric production returns to normal, that won't happen for the next three years.)

Whether you're a long-time fan or have never worn them before, please take this opportunity.
