While there are some vintage-like products that have this \"diagonal\" effect, it is a big no-no for stripes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eIf you cut a \"diagonal\" striped fabric with \"pattern priority\" on it, the fabric will be cut diagonally. When sewn, the garment will be twisted, so this is a no-no.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e To prevent the fabric from skewing or twisting,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e The twist direction of one thread is reversed to the direction of twisting two threads together. This is why two-ply threads are less likely to skew.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e The knitted fabric is mercerized. It is immersed in an alkaline liquid to make the surface smooth. It is sturdy and does not lose its shape easily, and the smooth surface means that it will not get caught even if you wear a jacket over it.
